The interview process started with a quick phone call, followed by an in-person meeting. It was a really good experience, felt both technically strong and professional, and overall I'd recommend it if you like straightforward interviews.

The interview process involved a 1-hour phone screen, followed by a 1-hour Teams meeting with the direct supervisor. Next was a 1.5-hour Teams meeting with the Finance manager, and finally, a 1-hour in-person interview. They asked very detailed questions, and while the people seemed nice, the company culture felt a bit off. It seems very old school, with an expectation to be in the office 5 days a week. Monthly travel to supported offices is also required. They mentioned the ESOP, but full vesting takes 7 years, and the company is only about 30% employee-owned. The offices looked good, but I suspect any offer would have been low. Benefits information was withheld until after the third round.

We had a bit of a scheduling issue at first because of daylight saving time, and I wasn't sure about the time zone. The salary offer was really low, especially for a director role in West Palm Beach, which is totally unworkable. The interview then turned into a strange defense of words and meanings. The interviewer kept saying it was entry-level and not management, but the title itself and the duties clearly involved management and advisory work, which is confusing for an entry-level role.

So first I had a call with HR that was about an hour long. It was a really detailed conversation, but I really liked it and the recruiter was super easy to talk to. After that, I got to talk with the actual team. We had like 2 or 3 separate chats, and I thought they were great. I felt like I'd totally fit in with them.
