First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Enron.
Intern
I had an interview about accounting and work ethics, which I found quite challenging. We had different views on ethical work behaviors. I'm not sure what happened with the company afterward, but I hope they are doing well.
- Would you lie to benefit the company?
Legal Assistant
It was a normal interview process with standard questions. They wrote down my answers, and I didn't feel challenged or patronized. The interviewers were very kind and friendly. They emailed me the interview results quickly and gave helpful feedback.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to make a difficult decision under pressure?
Analyst
The process was professional and organised. It involved case study scenarios and behavioural testing. The interviews were in person. I didn't get past the first round, but I know there were more rounds if I had been successful.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
Software Engineer
Had a straightforward chat with the tech lead about my background and what the company is working on. We also went over a bunch of the company's products and talked about where my skills might be a good fit.
- Can you explain how to resolve a memory leak in C++?
