The interview process covered topics like SQL, Spark, optimization techniques, and Hive. There were 4 rounds, and it was a great experience. There was indeed a managerial round at the end. Be prepared for some random questions to gauge your team engagement or IQ. Also, the last round might end up being the 5th one, depending on how the other interview rounds go.

So for this fresher role, it was 4 rounds total and honestly, it felt like there were some frauds involved. First, Round 1 was this weird thing where I had to watch videos and then do daily tasks like taking running notes for 4 days. There were also some bonus videos about basic Data Engineering tools like Hadoop and Spark. Then Round 2 was a 1-hour Technical Interview with a Senior person, testing my Python and SQL fundamentals, plus coding and SQL query questions. Round 3 was another 1-hour Technical + Managerial Interview with the Team Lead. It covered basics, some programming principles, and mostly checked if I could follow instructions. They threw in some situation-based questions about analytical behavior. Round 4 was supposed to be an HR Discussion the day after Round 2, but the HR person never showed up. I waited 30 minutes. Everything else went well, all interviewers gave me a green light with smiles, but then... nothing. I tried contacting HR multiple times, but got zero response, not even a rejection email. They completely ghosted me, even the person who referred me. I emailed and called every day. And I don't get why they didn't just tell us the full procedure upfront. Super unprofessional. Had a few odd things happen, but this really killed my trust. Watch out for these kinds of 'Fraud Companies'. Even their own staff seem confused about the process.

It was a friendly discussion. These people are very smart they can easily identify if you have really worked on a project or your resume is cooked up. They look for guys who are technically good , they focus more on the positive attitude of candidate. As the company is growing there is strict guidance from leadership not to entertain any person with negative attitude no matter how technically good they are because the people they hire at this phase are going to be a part of cultural foundation of Company. There was no typical question-answer but general discussion and probing.
