Project Manager
I first got in touch with Aver through their investor's talent contact. After a quick phone chat, I spoke with him over the phone. He then passed me along to Aver talent. Their phone screening was pretty laid-back and went well. After that, I went in to meet with the head of HR, another PM, and the CEO. It's worth mentioning that now, with more staff, those meetings are typically split into two interviews, sometimes with a third meeting involving more people. The final in-person meeting was with the person I'd be reporting to, and then they confirmed an offer was coming my way!
- Given your broad range of experiences, what key skills or insights from your previous roles do you think would best apply to this position?
Sales
It was a full day of interviews with about 7-8 managers and employees. It was really tough but I got a great look into the company and its culture. I met with technical team members and leaders, consultants, and senior management. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The vibe was pretty relaxed and they seemed focused on hiring people who would fit the company culture.
- What specific product modifications would you implement to secure a sale?
Intern
I sent my resume to the recruiter. She then contacted me to set up a phone interview. This first interview was focused mostly on my skills and background. She then asked for a follow up interview, also on the phone with her. That second interview was focused mostly on my expectations for the internship and what I wanted to get out of it. The recruiter was very nice, and it was overall a very smooth and enjoyable process.
- Tell me about your background and why you're interested in this position.
Business Analyst
So the recruiter I spoke to was nice enough, but then they asked me to take a personality test before I could even talk to the manager. If that's not a major red flag, I don't know what is. I ended up deciding not to move forward with the process.
- Could you please complete this personality assessment, which was acquired by our HR leaders from an external vendor, to determine if we will proceed with an interview, as we are unable to evaluate candidates directly?
