The hiring process included a background check, questions about your previous job duties, a soft skills assessment, a roleplay simulating a teaching assistant scenario, an assessment of early education skills, a public speaking component, and problem-solving questions related to parent and student customer service. Information about on-the-job training was also provided.

You'll go through a two-step interview process. After these interviews, you'll be placed in the Center that needs your role the most. Before starting any new tasks, the company will give you the training you need to be ready and confident.

After you send in your application and resume, EF’s hiring folks look at your background, including your teaching background, certifications (like TEFL or CELTA), and your education. If they like what they see, you’ll get an invite for an initial interview, usually done online. It’s a general chat where you’ll talk about your experience and why you want to teach English at EF. They might ask about your teaching style, how you handle a classroom, and how you’d teach different kinds of students (like little kids or grown-ups).

First, I had to send in a video, then all my documentation. They got back to me after a couple of weeks with a video interview. I did all this and set up the interview date online. It all seemed pretty straightforward. But when it was time for the interview, they sent a code instead of a Zoom link. I had some trouble connecting for some reason. When I finally did, it was only 2 minutes past the start time, but the Zoom showed nobody in the room. I emailed them but got no response. So I set up a new meeting after waiting about 10 minutes. Then I got a notification that all positions were filled and they weren't hiring new candidates right now. Such a waste of time.
