The Sr Recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn about the job and set up a call. But on the day, it was one of the worst interview experiences I've ever had. The recruiter was 10 mins late for a 30 min chat and we still finished early cuz they seemed uninterested and unfocused. They barely asked about my background. Mostly I heard about the role and their requirements. Using an AI Notetaker is fine, but to the point where it looked like she wasn't listening, it really showed me that a good candidate experience isn't their priority. Overall it felt rushed and I saw red flags.

A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about an open role on their talent team, and we connected at the start of the next week to talk about it. It was a good first call where we went over my background, I learned about the company and team, and what they were hoping to find. When I asked about pay, the recruiter seemed a little surprised, and I asked if there was any wiggle room since the range was lower than I thought it would be for a company growing fast. The recruiter said they wanted to move ahead but needed to confirm salary with their higher-ups, which is fine. I was told I'd hear back in a day or two, but I had to follow up at the end of the week to find out the executives were away at a retreat and I'd hear next week. Why wasn't this mentioned earlier? The next week rolled around, and still no news. I followed up again with no reply. Finally, at the end of that week, I got an automated rejection email from their system. Honestly, as someone in talent myself, this was a really bad way to treat a candidate. You can't say you want to hire quickly and then just ignore people until an automated rejection pops up.

The whole interview process was pretty good, thorough and informative, and it wrapped up in about 2.5 weeks. I got all my questions answered and felt like I learned enough to make a solid choice about accepting the offer. I've been here for 3 weeks now and it's been amazing working with the TA team and the sales folks I partner with for hiring.
