First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ENGEO.
Intern
It started with a recruiter call and then a virtual interview. It took about 30 minutes. They just wanted to know why I applied and about my previous work experience. They also talked about their roles and backgrounds, and about the company.

Geotechnical Engineer Intern
I had a screening call with HR first. After that, I had a zoom call with engineers at the office where I worked. Then HR called me with an offer letter, and I accepted it right after.
- Can you complete a sample problem worksheet?
- Please write a letter to check your writing skills.
Engineering Intern
First, a recruiter called to chat about what you're interested in, where you'd like to work, and to go over your resume. Then, there was a video call with the recruiter and some geologists and engineers from different offices. They wanted to know why you applied, why ENGEO, and more about leadership roles and geotech. Make sure you know your resume inside and out. Next, you had an at-home writing assignment to email to the recruiter. Lastly, you went into the office for an interview with 2-3 people you'd be working with. They were interested in hearing more about your resume and just getting to know you.
- What about geotechnical engineering captures your interest the most?
Staff Engineer
in depth interview process but was a great experience since they spent a lot of time getting you to meet the people in the office to better make a decision of if you enjoy the office culture or not
- Can you tell me about a time you failed in the past?
