The people were very nice. I received feedback very quickly after the interview, even though it took months to get the interview itself.

We had a phone interview first, then a Teams interview with the hiring manager and the Director of Project Controls. The final interview was in their office with a panel of four people, one of whom was a VP. I felt pretty good about how it went, but the person who was going to make the final decision didn't say much, so I wasn't sure what they were looking for.

So, I went through this whole interview process that took almost 3 months. It started with three phone interviews with the hiring manager, each lasting about 30 to 60 minutes. They asked me behavioral questions and some problem-solving ones. Then there was a really long four-hour on-site interview. I met with the original hiring manager, their boss who is a Director, and a group of people from the IT department. The questions there were a mix of asking about my background and just general conversation. I thought it went pretty well, and I followed up a week after the on-site. But then, radio silence for two whole months! The hiring manager finally called me back and asked for a phone call. I gave them my availability and followed up again a week later, but still no response. Honestly, I get it if they found someone else, but the hiring manager's lack of communication is pretty disappointing, especially since someone from the company referred me.

It was an in-person interview with the Director and Team Leader. I felt it was a pretty easy conversation with leadership. I felt good and confident after the interview. I asked why the role had been open for a year and a half, from Summer 2023 to Nov 2024, which is a pretty long time.
