First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Energex.
Overhead Linesman
The entire hiring process was incredibly drawn-out. While the actual interview wasn't difficult, the Energex system for hiring is just way too complex and takes forever. Honestly, all the exams and tests they make you do feel like overkill for this job, and I think it's mostly just to weed people out.
- What makes you want to be a Linesman?
- What's your motivation for applying?
Technical Officer
Got an email saying I was shortlisted for an interview, then a quick phone call to set up a time. They said they'd let me know if I got the job.
- How would you personally deal with conflicting priorities?
Project Manager
Got a phone interview first, they were persistent, which was good since the number was unknown. Then had an online interview with two people, it was a panel interview that lasted about 60 minutes. I had very little time to answer and couldn't ask for clarification. Even though I was a top candidate, I got no feedback after chasing them up multiple times.
- Tell me about your experience in various aspects of IT Project Management.
