First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EnerBank.
Systems Administrator
This was one of the strangest interviews I've ever had. They jump straight into an adversarial mode, putting the candidate on the defensive. They then use your natural defensiveness against you, accusing you of being argumentative. One of the two admins mentioned they had just fired an admin who had only been there for a month because 'they didn't fit in'. EnerBank has some serious organizational issues in their IT department. This will persist until their 'leadership' is replaced. It felt like an adult with actual leadership knowledge was needed.
- How do you feel about 'discussions' concerning politics, religion, etc. at work, since we often have these and I've had to counsel people when they got out of hand?
Project Manager
I interviewed at Enerbank and was ghosted. It seemed pretty straightforward and normal. There was a recruiter screening call and then multiple rounds of interviews. Standard project management questions were asked. I was told by the final interviewer and then the recruiter that they'd have feedback and an update in a couple of days, but that was a month ago. I've reached out for updates and feedback and gotten no responses. It's frustrating that ghosting appears to be the norm for this company.
- What's your motivation for wanting to work at Enerbank?
- Describe how you would manage a project team member who claims to have made no progress but also reports no blockers.
Lender
The interview was on Zoom and pretty fast. They asked about my knowledge of the job, my people skills, and how I communicate. They also asked for examples of when I've tackled problems and how I sorted them out.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What do you know about the role?
- Can you speak to your interpersonal skills?
Loan Processor
I sent in my application online. HR got back to me a few days later and we had a phone interview. After that, HR reached out again and wanted me to come in for an in-person interview.
- Can you tell me about your past experience that relates to this role?
