First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Endava.
Senior QA Engineer
First up was the HR interview, just a chat about my background, why I want this job, and if I fit with the company vibe. Then, a technical interview digging into my coding, problem-solving, automation testing knowledge, OOP, and practical skills with SQL, Selenium, and Python. After that, a casual 'Nice to meet you' chat with someone from the team or a manager to see how I'd fit in, how I communicate, and what their daily grind is like. Finally, the offer interview to go over the details of the job offer, pay, start date, and how the onboarding works.
- Discuss OOP principles.
- Demonstrate proficiency with various SQL queries.
- Perform logic exercises.
QA Engineer
I was accepted into the Graduate Programme and went through a six-week intensive training in Manual Software Testing. This training covered both IT and soft skills, with workshops on test management, databases, an intro to test automation, and an intro to security testing.
- What are your logical reasoning skills like?
- Can you write SQL queries?
- What are your thoughts on general testing concepts?
QA Engineer
It was pretty easy to get hired because Endava is looking to hire a lot of young people. The first interview was designed to discourage you by asking your salary expectations and then trying to convince you how great it is to work at Endava even for very little pay.
- What salary are you expecting?
- Tell me about technologies a QA typically wouldn't know, and programming concepts.
