Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Endava.
Front End Developer
It was pretty straightforward, mostly theoretical questions, no coding challenges. They asked about basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Usually, the interviews were conducted by developers from the company. Before the interview, there was an online test with webcam monitoring, so be prepared for that.
- Can you tell me about your experience with TypeScript?
- What are the benefits of using TypeScript in a project?
UI Engineer
I had a video call with an HR rep for 30 minutes. Then, I spoke with the CTO for 1 hour on video. After that, I had a 30-minute video call with a potential team member. Things got weird after that call because the teammate wasn't super friendly. Then the HR woman ghosted me. It took a week, and then I messaged her twice. She said she'd reply in 2 days, but it's been over 3 weeks now. Seriously, show some respect and just tell candidates if they didn't make it.
- Were there any Unreal Engine questions related to UI optimization?
- Did the interview include questions about UI design and architecture in Unreal Engine?
Frontend Developer
There were 3 interviews: 1 - HR - English filter 2- Technical 3- Final. The initial interview is a filter with a recruiter, where they tell you about the company and you talk about your experience. In that same interview, we talk a bit of English to know your level. Then there's a technical interview that in my case was just a chat, without live coding. The final interview is with someone from the company's leaders.
- What salary do you expect to earn?
