So, they sent me this snake oil "assessment" tool first, hounding me to finish it so they could set up an interview. It took a good chunk of time, and they sent multiple reminders over 10 days, really pushing me to complete it. After I finally made time for it, I got a "we got many applicants, so please hold on," followed by "we got too many applicants so don't need to talk to you." Absolutely zero respect for applicants' time. Even if your HR decided to waste money on useless behavioral questionnaires, you wouldn't have people waste their time on it only for you to say we are not moving forward. Says a LOT about the organization...

Behavioral Case Presentation

My interview process with Encore was smooth and well-organized! As soon as I submitted my application, I got confirmation from their Talent Acquisition Specialist, Lyndsay who then sent me a predictive index assessment to complete. It was daunting at first to take a 'test', but it's really just a way to assess your working style and preferences. It was cool to see my results! After a phone screening, I was invited for an in-person interview, which was preceded by a short case study. The interview lasted about an hour, and I had the chance to meet with the broader team I would be working with. Throughout the process, Encore kept communication clear and transparent, making sure I was always in the loop. Overall, it was a great experience that showcased the company’s professionalism and approach to hiring. Based on everything so far, I feel confident that the role will be a great fit.

The hiring experience was good and quick. A recruiter from the company reached out to me on LinkedIn. After a basic phone screening, I was invited to interview with the VP the next week for a first round. They had prepared questions based on what they and the payroll team were looking for in a new hire, which I appreciated. The second round was a quick follow-up with the VP and a short chat with the team, plus any questions they had.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was a bit lengthy, but the recruiters were really helpful and kept in touch after each part. It started with a video interview where I answered basic questions to introduce myself. Then, there was a two-part behavioral assessment about me, which was pretty interesting. After that, I had a phone interview followed by an in-person interview. Everyone I met was very friendly and made me feel at ease during the whole thing!
