I was contacted by a recruiter and then interviewed with the hiring manager and a lead within a week. The hiring manager introduced himself but didn't say much else. The lead talked about his technical experience and then asked me to give a high-level overview of my background. I thought it was strange that no other questions were asked, and they said I'd hear back in a few days. Less than 30 minutes after the interview, I received an excuse about "not enough Financial experience," which I do have and they could have easily checked beforehand. This makes me suspect the real reason might have been something else, perhaps my "maturity" level, and that they had already decided against me when they saw me.

I applied on LinkedIn and got a recruiter call for a screening. Then I had a Zoom interview with my direct supervisor and heard back in 24 hours. Next, I interviewed via Zoom with the head of delivery and head of sales, and again got notified within 24 hours about moving to the final stage. The final stage was a Zoom interview with the CEO. However, after the CEO interview was set up, the recruiter told me the CEO didn't need to interview me based on prior feedback and I got the job offer. I asked to speak with my direct supervisor again to clarify some things before accepting.

The interview process kicked off with two phone calls, followed by an in-person meeting with the Sales Manager. That meeting went pretty well, despite a few awkward moments. Afterwards, I was invited back for a team interview with the recruiting and sales team. This felt a bit more nerve-wracking, but it turned out to be less bad than I thought. I personally feel the panel interview isn't really needed; I get why it's done, but as EMS gets bigger, it just doesn't seem practical.

The interview process was great! Since it's a smaller company, they were really efficient and got me an offer in less than a week, with a bunch of interviews happening during that time. I even got to chat with the CEO and some other leaders on the team I'd be joining.
