The interview process was a bit disorganized and felt like too much. They initially called me for a frontend role, mentioning that if I knew JavaScript, they'd train me in Node.js. However, despite knowing Node.js, I was rejected.

There were 5 rounds in total. The first round was aptitude, focusing heavily on programming concepts. The second round involved coding exercises, specifically on strings and SQL. The third round was technical, covering basics of Java, C#, and .NET, along with HR-related topics. The fourth round was project management and HR-focused, entirely about the college final year project. Finally, there was an HR round.

Behavioral Presentation

I went through the whole interview process, talking to the hiring manager, then a panel interview, and finally a presentation to everyone, even the CEO. The hiring manager was super responsive during the interviews. But, during the final presentation, it hit me they were actually looking for a customer success leader who could build a CS program from scratch. When I asked about it, they said they didn't have the budget or headcount for a Head of CS, which is why they were hiring a CSM. After that, I texted the hiring manager to see if we could chat. No reply. So, a few days later, I emailed to pull my application. Honestly, I was really bummed about being ghosted at the end with no call back or email response, not even an automated one. My advice: be professional and have integrity. It takes like 30 seconds to reply to an email thanking someone. Also, if you need a CS leader, find the budget and title for it. It's not fair to ask candidates to do that much work for a mid-career title and pay.

Started with an initial screening call where we talked about my current jobs and what I do. Then I had a face-to-face techno-functional interview at the office. They asked questions about my projects and API testing. After that, I had a call with the Product Owner. They asked scenario-based questions and some general ones to see how I was thinking. Finally, there was an HR discussion at the office.
