So I actually didn't apply for this role, I applied for Senior GTM Financial Analyst, but they reached out to me about Senior Revenue Strategy Manager instead. Anyway, I had what I thought was a good chat with the recruiter, who said things sounded good and she'd let me know by the next day after checking with the team. But then I never heard back from her, even after I followed up a bunch.

After applying, I was sent a really long assessment. I wasn't sure if I had all the experience they wanted, so I was surprised to even get the assessment. I did my best on it, and it took me several hours. They got back to me pretty quickly, saying they decided to hire someone whose counseling philosophy was more in line with theirs, which was weird because none of the assessment questions were about that.

This was a straightforward interview focusing on my background in admissions and college counseling, my experience, and my availability. The interviewer made the process positive and welcoming, and I felt comfortable. The questions were what I expected for this kind of role.

I got a referral from someone who works there on April 14. On April 16, I applied through their website. I didn't hear back for ten days, so I followed up on April 27 and they quickly sent me a supplemental application with detailed questions about admissions, scenarios for advising students, etc. I finished it in a day. I then waited almost a month and followed up on May 23. No response. I followed up again on June 8, mentioning I had another offer with a deadline, but still wanted to be considered and get an update. Still no response. I'm not sure if they're just incompetent or if they ghost applicants, but it's unprofessional.
