Since I was interviewing remotely, my process included a few steps before heading to Lever HQ in SF. It started with a phone screen with the SDR recruiter, where we discussed Lever's core values and their connection to the product and company culture. Then, I had a phone screen with the SDR manager, focusing more on the role details and my career alignment. This was followed by a Skype interview, about 2-3 hours long. It involved a sales role play with the SDR manager, an AE who was previously an SDR, and an AE manager. The final stage was an onsite interview at Lever HQ. I'm not sure if Lever covers travel or moving expenses as I chose to buy my own flight ticket. This onsite involved a 3-hour interview panel and a sit-down lunch with the future SDR team.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Applied and got an email to schedule an intro call. Discussed the job details like start date and salary. They asked about my past experience and how it fits the role. The next day, I was told I'd move to the next step: three 30-minute interviews back-to-back, which included roleplays. Had to show I could take feedback and apply it immediately. I prepared a lot, researched, and spent hours getting ready. Thought it went well, and everyone was nice. Felt comfortable. However, the day after the triple interview, I was informed I wasn't selected. I replied, thanking them and asking for feedback. Knowing Lever has a feedback system, I was surprised by the lack of follow-up after being told I wasn't a fit. It left a bad impression, especially for a company that seems to care about candidate experience. A quick follow-up would have been appreciated. It's ironic they don't maintain candidate relationships, given their software solutions.

I applied online and had to answer a sample sales pitch email. A day later, I was contacted about a phone screen and scheduled it via their Lever system. The call happened a week later and was really genuine; I got a good grasp of the process and what they needed, and they made me feel like part of the team already. The onsite interview was two weeks after that. I got feedback two days post-interview, which was unique but appreciated as it's helpful to know timelines.
