First there was a CV screening. Then, a junior HR person invited me to do a timed cognitive test. The next step was supposed to be an interview panel day, but I didn't get that far. The cognitive test wasn't relevant to the job description and was timed. The company seems to use this to filter out many candidates without much HR effort. I'm not sure how this fits with diversity and inclusion goals, which I suspect are lacking at this company. The test was math and logic based, like a school performance measurement. I was told my score wasn't above average, which was disappointing given my experience and results. However, I realized later I might have avoided a bad situation, as this assessment probably reflects the management culture.

So first there's an initial screening interview. If you get past that, you're invited to Hiring Day, which is on Fridays and lasts about 4 hours. It kicks off with an intro to the company and its DNA, along with other candidates. Then, an HR person interviews you to check how you solve problems and think. After that, you meet potential peers or leads who want to learn about you, your background, and why you're interested in the role. The last interview is a wrap-up, where they address any open points from earlier interviews to spot red flags. Finally, you wait to hear back – a yes or no, and if it's a yes, the offer.

I started with a call to a recruitment agency that then sent my profile to Emma. After that, I had an online assessment via SHL with 24 math, logic, and decision-making questions to complete in 36 minutes; it felt impossible to finish them all in the given time. Then, after waiting over 3 weeks, I had an interview with two people from Emma, one from HR and another whose role I didn't catch. It was a 30-minute interview where they just read from a script and didn't seem interested in my background. I then waited another 17 days for feedback, which was just a rejection without any specific reasons, making the whole nearly 2-month process quite frustrating.
