Intern
The first interview was a 30-minute session that mainly covered basic HR stuff to get a feel for my background, why I'm interested, and if I'd be a good fit. They asked typical questions about my history, what I'm good at, and what my career goals are, plus why I want this specific job. There were also a few case questions to see how I'd tackle problems in real job situations. I also had to talk about what I know about the company, like how it makes money and where it stands in the market, and why I applied. It was pretty much an intro round, mixing HR checks with a bit of looking at how I think and if I align with the company's vibe and what the role needs.

Intern
The interview process was structured and clear. It started with an initial interview to get to know my academic profile, my professional interests, and my motivation for applying for the position. Subsequently, I was invited to a second technical interview, focused on my financial knowledge, analytical skills, and ability to solve problems related to the area. Throughout the process, communication was fluid and professional, and the questions were aligned with the responsibilities of the position.
- Tell me about your work experience.
- How do you solve problems?
Intern
So, I had this really unprofessional and negative interview experience. It started with an assessment that wasn't easy. Then, an HR intern scheduled the first round, a 20-minute interview, but they were late. I waited 15 minutes, then left and emailed them about the lateness and asked if there was a mistake. About 6 minutes after the interview was supposed to end, they emailed back saying they missed me and asked if I was still interested. When I replied, they said 'no worries' and asked if the interview link didn't work. I got annoyed because they were trying to blame me. I told them the link was fine and they were just late. They then suggested it might have been a technical mistake, with no apology. I rescheduled anyway, and another HR person interviewed me. During our chat, she kept looking away, looking down to take notes or something, shaking her legs, and seemed really distracted and bored. I answered all her questions, including a quick calculation of 4.75% * 440, which she said impressed her. Two days later, I was told they weren't moving forward with me. To be fair, she did listen because she asked questions based on what I said, but her body language felt like a high schooler in math class. Overall, it felt like a waste of my time.
- What is 4.75% of 440?
- Can you describe a person you found most difficult to work with?
- How do you handle conflicts?
