The interview process was quite drawn out, spanning several weeks with significant delays between assessments and interviews before I'd hear back. I was then invited to a final interview and a creative task, but unfortunately, they couldn't get it scheduled. Ultimately, I was informed the position had been filled over 20 days after they indicated I had successfully passed the previous stage.

I want to preface by saying the people were friendly, but I had to push the process every step of the way. Also, there's a weeklong take home project, but we never spoke about this after I finished it. I put a lot of effort into it, so it was irritating. Setup phone screen on 07/08/21. Spoke with the hiring manager. Did a week long take home project. Panel interview (note: we did not talk about the take home project at all despite my trying to mention it a few times). Rejection email on 08/26/21. Between each step, I would give it about a week, email, and then we'd setup another meeting. Conclusion: The people were great and I felt like we were on the same page. The interview process left a lot to be desired. Ignoring the effort put into the project and the lack of communication were huge red flags.

I had a super long interview call with one of the founders. They hit me with a lot of detailed questions and also asked about strategies I'd use given my understanding of their business, which was a bit unexpected for what seemed like just an initial 'chemistry call'. I shared my ideas and elaborated, and I felt the conversation was going well. Unfortunately, after the call, I didn't hear back from the founder. I noticed on LinkedIn that the job posting had been up for a while and over 100 people had applied, making me wonder if they were just fishing for free strategic advice during the interviews.

First, I had to choose answers about HTML, CSS, and javascript. Then, there was a face-to-face communication round. After that, I had to write code for things like onclick and fade in fadeout effects on paper, and also a system task. Finally, there was a manager round with some small logical questions. It was pretty much the same process repeated.
