Content Coach
It was a video interview with someone from HR. It was unique. The person who interviewed me couldn't answer some of the job-specific questions that I asked during the interview, nor did they refer those questions to anyone in the company who could reasonably answer them. The interviewer seemed more interested in playing with her hair than actually conducting the interview. I assumed that I didn't get the job, since I have never heard back from them after multiple follow-up attempts. Reading all of the reviews on here, I'm glad I didn't get the job. Sounds like there is definite room for improvement there.
- Tell me about your experience with writing and editing.
Content Copywriter
The interview started with a quick video chat with HR. It was mostly about me talking about my background and experience. She didn't ask much, and it was over in less than 15 minutes. The next steps they mentioned were an interview with a manager, then some kind of assessment, and finally a last interview.
- Have you worked with entrepreneurs before?
- What's your background in writing for podcasts?
Operations Assistant
I applied online and the hiring manager set up a Zoom screening interview for about a week later. About an hour before the interview, I got an email saying the interviewer was running late and to start 15 minutes after the scheduled time, which was fine. I was accidentally sent the wrong Zoom link, so the interviewer sent me a new one that worked. The screening took about 20 minutes and was pretty straightforward. A few hours later, I got an email to set up a second interview for the next week. A few days after that, I got an email saying I needed to complete a skills test before the second interview could proceed. So, they canceled the second interview and scheduled me for the test instead, with instructions to come 30 minutes beforehand. The email with instructions didn't arrive until seven minutes past my scheduled start time, and the link they sent didn't have the right permissions. I emailed them about the issue and then managed to access the skills test. Once I finished, I let them know. An hour later, I got an email stating there were issues with the skills test and I'd have to retake it. Even though everyone was really nice, the whole process was quite disorganized and unprofessional.
- How does your past experience align with this role?
Facebook Ads Manager
The interview process started with an HR call where they asked detailed questions to assess the quality of my experience. After that, I had the opportunity to ask questions, and they were very genuine about the company culture and honest about challenges. The process was a bit lengthy because it included an assessment related to the role and then a final interview.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult client and how you managed the situation.
