First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EMH & T.
Urban Planner
After applying, I got an email to schedule an interview. I went in a few weeks later for the interview. It was with 3 employees. I heard back within 2 weeks but didn't get the job.
- Can you tell me about a weakness you've had and how you've worked to improve it?
Archaeologist
The interview was super nice, except for a tiny bit of friction regarding my past work. But mostly, everyone seemed really happy and were big fans of the company.
- Could you tell me about your qualifications?
Design Engineer
I talked with some PMs and VPs in their NC region a couple of years back. It was a terrible interview experience. They asked really cliché and unclear questions like "How do you approach your design?" I wasn't sure how they expected me to answer that. Then, when I would explain a technical task, it was like I was speaking a different language; they didn't seem to understand. It was really annoying. Even though I didn't get that specific job, I was offered a chance to interview in another state I was interested in. But after that mess, I turned it down.
- Can you describe your design process?
- Could you elaborate on a technical task?
CAD Technician
I went through four interviews, each lasting 45 minutes, with people from different departments. It was better this way, having them interview me one by one instead of all at once. They were all really nice and took the time to answer any questions I had.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
