The process was long. The recruiter told me what I needed to do, but it took 4 weeks to schedule stuff between interviews. The last interview got cancelled because of the holidays.

So I had a written test, it was technical and aptitude, and then I met with the hiring manager and had an HR round. It took some time but was a pretty smooth experience. The test level was medium for both technical and aptitude questions.

This was a really unprofessional interview process that took 40 days. The panel and HR kept saying they'd give updates in 2-3 days but kept me hanging. It started around Nov 22nd, 18 with a call from an Emerson agency about an IT Project Manager role at their Innovation center in Pune. The job description was for an IT PM with 10+ years experience, PMP cert, and experience in application development and multiple implementation projects. After I confirmed interest, they screened my resume and scheduled the first in-person interview, which focused on IT project management. They said I cleared it and liked my project management experience. A week later, I was called to the office for a client round, where they assessed my project management skills. A few days after that, HR called, mostly to discuss salary expectations. HR said they'd try to give an offer in 3-4 days. I waited 10 days, and then HR called saying I was selected, but a director wanted to meet me at the office. I asked why another round if I was selected, and HR said it's a senior role and the director wanted a personal meeting. I took time off for it. A few days later, HR confirmed selection again and verbally shared the salary, which was lower than I asked but acceptable. The shock came with the designation offered: 'Tech lead 2' with reporting to 'Tech lead 2', which no one mentioned throughout the process. I told HR I wasn't okay with that, and they promised to look into it within 2-3 days. Weeks passed, HR kept saying they were waiting for approval. Then HR called saying the hiring manager wanted to talk again. He said they'd figured out a solution and HR would get back with the designation change that evening. Again, I waited days and weeks. HR kept saying 'no problem' and just waiting for approval. 40 days after the first interview, still no clear answer. They kept me waiting and never gave updates when promised. Finally, I got a call saying they couldn't offer the Project Manager designation. The agency then called, saying they discussed it with HR again and would get back ASAP. Another week gone, and I'm not waiting anymore. They killed the excitement with their indecisiveness, dishonesty, and unethical behavior.
