First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Emerson Climate Technologies.
Procurement Analyst
I submitted my resume online and then got a call a few weeks later. I had a phone screen, then an in-person interview with the team. It was just regular one-on-one interviews. The office itself was really old, like from the 1940s, and had no windows, which was super depressing. Nobody made eye contact or even said hi. It was kind of a creepy place and I don't think I want to work there, but I would have had to pass a background check and drug test if I got an offer.
- Describe a time you witnessed someone breaking the law and what actions you took.
- Can you share an experience where an outcome was not successful, and how you handled it?
Project Manager
It was unorganized and took forever. My first interviewer was late. I spoke with more than 5 people, but one person didn't have time to meet me. I found out later that these interviewers weren't qualified to interview anyone. One person asked illegal questions about my age. I also learned I was interviewed by someone at my level. HR wasn't professional.
- Can you tell me about yourself? (Based on your resume)
Industrial Engineer
I had a few phone screens with the engineering team and a manager. After that, I was invited on-site for the next stage of interviews. It was a really positive experience overall. The manager and the engineers I talked to were great, and I felt very welcomed. The work culture and environment seem really good.
- How do you handle conflicts, and how would you manage employees who do not follow your instructions?
- Can you describe your past experiences and roles using the STAR method?
Technical Support Engineer
A 3-hour interview with managers, directors, and supervisors. There were situational questions and a simple Excel data analysis test. The response time for the process was almost 3 weeks.
- Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
- Why do you want to join the company?
- Describe a difficult situation you faced and how you handled it.
