First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Embroker.
Demand Generation Manager
The interview process was quick and straightforward. It had two rounds, both of moderate difficulty. The interviewers were friendly, which made for a positive candidate experience as there were no delays or unanswered communications. I would be interested in interviewing again in the future.
- Can you describe your past work experience?
- What can you tell me about your general knowledge?
User Research Intern
I had a phone screening with the recruiter, then the first round with one designer, followed by a second round with a senior designer. There was another round after that. The first interview was really relaxed, just a chat about myself. The second one focused more on my past UX experience and research methods. The recruiter mentioned it would be a quick process, but she was very slow to respond and not very helpful, not answering most of my emails. The work they do seemed kinda boring, honestly.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at Embroker for this position?
Underwriter
I spoke with 3 different people. Scheduling was easy and the interviews themselves were pretty laid back. I got follow-up information about what's next pretty quickly after each chat. Overall, the communication was solid, especially considering it was a remote job I'd never done before.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you managed in a previous or current job.
Product Manager
Instead of a recruiter call, I went straight to the hiring manager. There was hardly any small talk. I could tell early on they weren't really feeling me and were just going through the motions. They seemed to really want someone with insurance industry experience, even though the product is pretty standard PLG that any PM could handle. When I asked my questions, their answers were really roundabout and indirect, never really answering what I asked.
- What is your most successful project and what was the associated ARR?
