First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Emanuel Medical Center.
Registered Nurse
I interviewed with the Educator and ANM. It was a few behavioral and scenario questions. For example, they asked about my strengths and weaknesses, and patient safety, like what I would do if I saw a doctor do an inappropriate procedure with a patient.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Regarding patient safety, what would you do if you observed a doctor performing an inappropriate procedure on a patient?
Ultrasound Technologist
The interview process was super easy and fast. I had one phone call with the hiring manager, and it was about 20 minutes long. She was really nice and asked me about my qualifications and my degree. I got the job offer the same day. They were really short-staffed in the department and needed more technologists, so since I was new, they were happy to train me.
- Could you detail your experience in each specialty?
Environmental Services
Mine was nice until the Director who interviewed me stated that “For the most part, the employees are not very educated in this department so if you want to just give me the paper it’s fine but since I know you can email I would appreciate better”. When that happened my jaw dropped. (Inside my head because I needed a job desperately)
- Are you okay with standing for the majority of your shift?
Urban Planner
It's the usual interview process with normal questions and skills, where they ask about previous projects and work experience, and how you progressed on previous work and the systems you used.
- What's your previous experience and work history?
