I interviewed with the CMO. She didn't seem to have read my resume beforehand and had no prepared questions. She didn't ask me about my experience or use behavioral questions like "tell me about a time when you...". She barely asked any relevant questions. I had to take the initiative to share examples about myself. She mainly talked about the company, her recent start in the role, and her team-building efforts. She was not friendly, didn't smile, and seemed annoyed. I never got a follow-up, which I'm viewing as a positive outcome given her lack of preparation and unfriendliness. The office also had many empty desks, and based on other reviews, it seems like a place to avoid.

Before the interview, I chatted with some employees who seemed a bit down and unmotivated. When I walked around with the hiring manager, the atmosphere felt dull and quiet, lacking any real energy. The interview itself was with the Receptionist & Manager. The manager did most of the talking, going on and on about himself and his fancy trips abroad. I didn't feel particularly welcome or like this is a place I'd want to spend 10 hours a day. To top it off, before the interview, I used the men's restroom, and an employee speaking Portuguese made some inappropriate remarks about applicants. He didn't realize I understood him. All in all, it wasn't a great experience, and if I get an offer, I'll be declining. It's just not for me!

My interview experience was definitely out of the ordinary. It started with an initial interview with the CRO which went well. Then, I had a second interview for a different position that the company was considering. After that, I had a final interview for the customer success manager role. This last interview involved meeting with the CRO, CPO, and CEO. The CPO conducted the first part, asking me to sell him the product in Spanish. He apologized for the number of interviews, explaining they were trying to find the right fit for me, and he was very personable. While waiting for the CEO, random employees asked me questions about myself, and I also had the chance to ask questions to current employees. I was interviewed by the CTO, CFO, Senior programmer, and a few others, each asking one question. Finally, I had a brief interview with the CEO, who was busy and to-the-point but kind, asking basic questions like my motivation for the job and if I had any questions for him. To conclude, the CRO sat down with me again, acting as a serious sales mentor, and extended the job offer.

The interview process was simple. An inexperienced recruiter met with me briefly and then set me up with the HR Director. The HR Director was nice and didn't ask hard questions, only for about 30 minutes. They decided I was too experienced to lead their marketing teams, which is funny given they've had two marketing directors in a year and have a terrible website. They seem arrogant to worry about someone from a big company.
