I applied for this position twice. I got an in-person interview with executive management members who implied I was the top candidate, more than once. After that, my emails to them and the recruiter kept bouncing back, seeming blocked. I sent an email from another account, which didn't bounce, so it seems like a block was in place. The recruiter, who previously gave me positive feedback about the company's new leadership and vision, also stopped responding. This was very unprofessional, especially for a serious management position. I didn't do anything to warrant being ignored or blocked. Just an update that they chose someone else would have been sufficient. I can't respect the organization based on this experience, going from a great interview to what felt like high school passive aggression. I'm at a loss for words, but I hope this helps others interviewing for management roles, especially at the executive level, to be prepared if they experience something similar. I've never seen anything like this at a corporate level before. It gave me a new perspective on how Elwyn is actually managed internally.

It was a really disorganized interview process. The HR department and the hiring committee didn't seem to be on the same page, and I didn't get any info about benefits for months. The actual interview itself was pretty straightforward, mostly about how I'd manage a classroom. It felt like they'd already decided to hire me before I even interviewed. I did accept the job, but when I tried to negotiate the offer, they shut me down right away; the salary was firm.

Started with a recruiter chat, then a 1:1 meeting. They were really strict about the background check, including fingerprints, a drug test, and a criminal check. They really want someone who is a self-starter and interested in more education. The drug test part was a big deal for them. I got an offer, but it was taken back because I didn't want to do the drug test.

I saw the job posting on the internet and went ahead and applied. A recruiter then gave me a call and we talked about the role. After that, I was scheduled for an interview. I also got an email to confirm and remind me about the interview. On the day, right on time, my phone rang and it was the interview. A day or so later, the recruiter called me back and let me know I got the job. That made my day!
