First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elsevier.
Sales Representative
I had a phone call with the recruiter, and it was a good interview. The recruiter was nice and gave me information. They said they would recommend me to the hiring manager, but then I never heard back. It was a bit disappointing, but I guess that happens sometimes.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your approach to sales?
Sales
I went through four rounds for this regional role. The first was face-to-face, and the others were phone calls with three different interviewers on separate dates. The whole thing took about 1.5 months.
- What are your sales and achievements so far?
Sales Representative
It was 2 interviews. First one was 1 on 1 with four managers. Got a call back to meet with four more managers and have a mock sales call to sell the managers their product.
- If there was a clearly more qualified candidate, what would be your reason for hiring me?
- Tell me about a time you had a problem with a supervisor.
