First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elme Communities.
Senior Accountant
It was a really nice interview process. I felt like I was building connections with the people at The Company during the interviews. There was a good balance of discussing my past work and having casual chats about things outside of work. I got a strong feeling I'd found my next job halfway through the first interview; it just seems like a desirable place to be.
- Could you share something personal about yourself that isn't obvious from your background?
- Can you elaborate on your role in previous projects mentioned in your resume?
- What would your friends describe as your strengths and weaknesses?
Analyst
Applied online and got a phone interview scheduled within a week. It was just a basic behavioral interview with a few questions about modeling. The next step is an interview with another hiring manager and an Excel test. The process is pretty new for them I think and the firm is growing. You should read up on their website and understand their values.
- What type of work environment do you prefer?
- What's your experience with modeling?
- Are you able to complete an Excel test?
Financial Analyst
I applied online and heard back two weeks later. The interview consisted mostly of behavioral questions, like asking about my interest in real estate. I was also asked to walk through my resume and confirm my understanding of the job responsibilities. Unfortunately, I didn't get a call back. The HR team was pleasant.
- Are you familiar with the duties associated with this position?
Tenant Coordinator
I spoke with the HR Director about my previous work experience and what I could bring to the role I was applying for. The conversation lasted about 45 minutes and focused a lot on my previous job duties, accomplishments, and any recognition I'd received.
- Could you describe your previous job responsibilities at your last company?
- What were the most significant challenges you encountered in that role?
