First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ELM.
Business Analyst
They asked about your background, both technical and business. You have to be excellent to get an offer. Sometimes they don't have available jobs, so they want you but can't hire you.
- Tell me about your studies at university.
Software Developer
So, the interview was split into a few parts. First, there was a personal interview, then a technical interview. Since I was working as an outsource, there were two more interviews from their side: one personal interview and a programming exam.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- Do you have any questions regarding Object-Oriented Programming?
Designer
The interview process with ELM was really great. It started with a screening call and went all the way to the final round. They showed they have a good mix of skills, experience, and personality that fits our company values and what we need for the job.
- Can you walk me through your design process?
Senior Project Manager
The interview process started with a 10-minute phone call where they asked about my interest in the role, my current salary, and my expected salary. This was followed by a 75-minute online interview. They expected me to have a PMP certificate, which wasn't on my CV, but I mentioned I had completed a preparation course and was taking the exam soon. Despite this clarification, the interviewer seemed to want me to make mistakes and made questions harder. They asked me to email them my PMP certificate once obtained, promising a second interview two weeks later, and stated they would inform me if I wasn't selected. However, they never followed up with a decision or responded to my email containing my certificate and grade.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences?
- What are your thoughts on the technicalities of project management?
- How did you prepare for the PMP exam and what was your performance like?
