First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ELM Global.
Account Administrator
The interview process was pretty standard. The interviewers were really professional and polite. For the first round, a manager interviewed me. If you were called back for a second round, one of their account managers would interview you. The second round is a few hours long, but it flies by. They meet with business owners. They ask a lot of questions about your past experience and management experience throughout the interview. Overall, it was a good experience.
- What did you enjoy most about your last job?
- What traits do you possess that would make you an effective manager?
- Tell me about your previous experience.
Interviewee
The person that in viewed me seemed seem a bit nervous themselves as if it was her first go on interviewing people. I enjoyed the questions which were general. My experience with the company was very professional startup company. Very small when I expected a large office based on the website which is very nice. The position specifics were not very clear until the second interview. I did enjoy the person's brief background of them selves and being with the company for 6 to 8 months. I was not sure how to take that statement when that is a typical thing for someone to say. A ball park time frame on when to make cash seemed a bit uneasy for me. I needed specific information in order to feel comfortable about the job duties
- Tell me why you believe you are the right candidate for this position.
Administrative
The first step was a 20 minute meeting to go over your experience. Then there was a second round where they talked about the company structure and growth. I actually got to pick what role I wanted in the first interview, and I chose administrative support. But then in the second interview, they told me everyone has to start in direct sales, which isn't what I wanted, so I left.
- Can you tell me about a weakness you have?
- How would you describe your leadership style in three words?
- Which past job did you like the most and why?
Business Manager
The interview experience was not good. The company did not provide a clear mission statement. The interview felt rushed, limiting the ability to ask follow-up questions. While the interviewer mentioned a global presence, a quick search contradicted this. If the company is legitimate, management needs to improve how they communicate their product, both in interviews, on their website, and internally. Wishing you luck!
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
