The interview process was pretty quick with just a couple of rounds, but it felt like they really covered everything. They kept things moving, and I liked that they were really responsive when I had questions. Everything was done via video call, and there weren't any in-person meetings before they made me an offer.

It was a 2 round process. The first round was a phone call and the second round was either virtual or in person. Both interviews were really conversational and the interviewers seemed pretty upbeat. They asked about what kind of clients I prefer, my past experience working with clients, and what my schedule and availability looks like.

So this is about a business franchise opportunity. Basically, anyone with the money can buy into it. I talked to an internal medicine doctor who bought six locations in the Bethesda, MD area. The job was posted as fully remote with flexible WFH, but after checking Glassdoor, I found out it's usually 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH. I stopped the interview because the job description was a lie. They actually want you in the office all five days for the first 4-6 weeks to 'ramp up', from 2-7 pm. Heads up, this is NOT a remote job, it's barely hybrid, and they want you in the office. So, if you don't live close by, don't bother applying because of the bait and switch on the remote work. I couldn't trust that it would only be for 4-6 weeks since the job posting was inaccurate. I ended the interview right after he showed me that was the plan. Another bait and switch from this business owner was the salary range on the LinkedIn job posting, which was 80K-103K, but his presentation slide showed 70-83K, and he said that was 'pretty standard.'

This interview felt more like an interrogation than a job interview, maybe because some people can't hack it as attorneys or police officers and end up as therapists. They want to see if you're loyal to the practice before they even hire you. The owner also commented on how long I stayed at each place, which is weird because internships aren't supposed to be long, and the clinical director has a shaky resume with only a little over a year at each job. I could tell from the interview that these people would be a pain to work with. They also mentioned it's a W-2 job over the phone, but it's actually per client, just like a contractor. And that 4-star average Google review? It's misleading because it's an accumulation from multiple locations, not just Pembroke Pines. My advice? Steer clear of corporate mental health practices.
