First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ella Bliss Beauty Bar.
Sales Assistant
It was pretty chill. The managers were really nice. I heard back within 1 to 2 weeks, but sometimes it was as fast as a day.
- How will you help the team?
Nail Technician
It was a simple and fast process. The manager made me feel at ease, and it wasn't scary. Remember to dress well because they pay attention to that. Act professionally.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Esthetician
The manager asked me questions from a typed list, gave me a tour, and then I had to give her a facial. I met an employee who didn't know what type of wax they used. The room had carpeting, and I wasn't given any instructions on what kind of facial to give, how much time to spend, or anything else. The equipment, like the mag light, was also broken. They also wouldn't tell me the pay rate.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging client?
Esthetician
The woman that interviewed me was very friendly, seemed warm and caring. I did not get the position even though I had a lot of experience, including spa management. They encourage new graduates to apply, which is different than any other place I've worked. At high end spas they usually want people with experience and if they have clientele to bring with them, even better. I think they prefer new graduates so they can pay them at a lower rate, which is too bad. They were conducting all interviews on one day, and I got a generic email later that same day stating they were not going to move forward with me.
- Can you describe a challenging client interaction and how you managed it?
