A large group of us were brought into the Verizon Call Center and had to wait in a waiting room. Supervisors would periodically come out and call names for interviews. We were then separated into smaller offices, and we had to make sure the rooms were empty before the interview could start. I first met the prospective store manager and they asked me a few questions. Then, we waited awkwardly for the hiring manager and hiring assistant manager to join and ask me more questions. The store manager told me I was a great fit, but I never heard back from them that day.

It's a nice place to work, and employees seem to like the school. The interview process was very slow moving. I interviewed by phone and was asked specific questions about my resume, like the size of the funds I had managed and why I left a certain position. The questions weren't difficult but were probing, and they seemed very concerned about my personality and management style. I made it to a panel interview, but the panel was very difficult to read, not showing any facial expressions. I did not get called back for the next round of interviews. I did not have any experience working for a college.

The interview process from HBCU was average, I guess. It was rushed; I received the call at the last minute. It was well into summer when I got the call and then had to move in a haste.
