Digital Marketing Assistant
Applied online and got an interview invite for the next week. They gave me a task to create some Instagram posts on a theme. I finished it and sent it before the interview date, but didn't get any confirmation. I went to the interview and met with two managers. The whole thing was pretty fast and simple, no real issues. They said I'd hear back in a week. I sent a thank you email the day after but heard nothing, which is fine. Then the week passed and they still hadn't contacted me, so I followed up again with no reply. I waited another week and sent another follow-up, still no response. Overall, the communication was pretty rude and unprofessional, especially considering the time and effort I put into the task, which took a few hours, and also preparing and attending the interview. Even a generic reply would have been better.
- What are your ideas for improving our content?
Assistant
I was called in once to meet a top executive who didn't review my resume and just wanted to chat. Then I came in a second time for a quick meeting with another top executive, and then I got the job.
- What's your experience in the fashion industry?
- In what ways would you go above and beyond for this position?
- Can you share a time you encountered a professional difficulty and how you handled it?
Marketing Director
I had a connection to this agency, so they brought me to the owner's attention. I met with the owner first, then the VP, and then the person I'd be working with day-to-day. The first meeting was casual, over coffee, and the second was in the office. It was perfect timing because they had an opening and a specific need I could fill. Interestingly, the higher-ups were easier to connect with than the peer, who I think felt a bit threatened. That interaction was the toughest part, knowing I'd need to gain their trust and respect.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- What are your thoughts on work ethic?
- What's your perspective on aesthetics and design eye?
Model
It was super fast. I presented my portfolio and they really liked it. After chatting with some of the top managers, I was on my way to setting up photoshoots.
- What motivates you to seek this position?
- What are your aspirations?
