First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elite Flooring & Design.
Builder Coordinator
A recruiter reached out via Indeed. I had a phone interview and then an in person interview. I thought the interview went well, but a week later I got an email saying they decided to go in a different direction. I'm not sure what that means, but I sensed I wasn't getting the position when I arrived because HR was very welcoming.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
General Laborer
I submitted my application through the company's website and then had conversations with a few different people regarding the role. It felt like a standard interview process, and they were upfront about the company culture, showing interest in hiring younger individuals. The work environment seemed promising.
- What are your career aspirations?
Account Coordinator
I went through 4 interviews. The first two were in person at the Tampa Office. Then I had a 3rd phone interview with the Corporate office. Everything went well, and they seemed to think my qualifications and personality were a good fit. Then they called me for a 4th interview with the same person from the corporate office. This last interview was just for one question. After that, the next day, they told me they went another direction and weren't hiring me. Very strange, I don't see why.
- When did you graduate from college?
Customer Service Representative
I had an initial interview with HR, which was quite long but positive. We discussed personal topics as well as job-related ones. The owners sometimes participate in interviews, but they weren't present during mine. HR was flexible in scheduling the interview around my busy calendar. After I accepted the offer, I completed a drug test at a convenient location very close to the office.
- Besides your strengths, what areas do you think you need to develop?
