Account Executive
So, I used to work as an account executive at a pretty well-known marketing agency, and this role gave me serious pause. Basically, you're tasked with selling products to complete strangers as if you were a third party hired by the company. There's no established pipeline, no real marketing strategy, and no accounts to actually manage. The 'promotion' system seems to be based solely on how much you sell, kind of like an MLM, which feels super sketchy and questionable, honestly. I'm pretty sure everyone gets hired.
- Can you share some personal details about yourself?
- Could you elaborate on your professional background as presented on your resume?
Customer Service Representative
The interview experience was very positive and the office environment felt welcoming. The hiring manager seemed engaged and happy with his job, and was very pleasant. He asked relevant questions about my background and genuinely sought to understand me as a potential hire, which made this interview stand out. The process involved three distinct parts, which seemed logical. I was pleased to get a call back.
- Can you tell me about yourself outside of your work experience?
- What unique qualities do you bring that will help the company keep succeeding?
Sales Representative
First, a quick phone call under 10 mins to go over basic info and check your willingness to learn and if you're motivated. Then, a Zoom call with the manager, around 20 minutes long. After that, they'll send notes to a team they think you'd fit best with. Lastly, an in-person interview with two people from that team who will decide if they want you.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Marketing and Events Coordinator
The interview process had three parts. It started with a quick pre-screening phone call. The first interview was a casual chat to see what we were both looking for. The second interview was more in-depth since they had more time and I had done my research and had questions. The third interview was a final wrap-up of our previous conversations.
- Do you have any travel requirements for this role?
