First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elevations Credit Union.
Teller
I had a virtual interview with Elevations as the first step. They were very nice and helpful during the interview, asking standard questions and about my previous experience. I wasn't invited to continue, but the next step would have been interviewing at the branch I'm interested in.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations?
Full Stack Engineer Intern
The interview process involved a behavioral interview where I was asked standard questions like why I wanted to work there. After that, there was a technical round with questions about software development, and finally a coding round where I had to solve one LeetCode medium problem.
- Can you explain your motivation for wanting to work here?
- Could you describe the general principles of software development?
- Please implement a function to convert an integer into its Roman numeral representation.
Content Specialist
I had a good talk with a recruiter about the job and company culture at Elevations Credit Union, which made me eager to move forward. However, the process became disappointing when, after a week of waiting, they asked me to write several social media posts and a blog to assess my writing skills for their brand before I could even speak with a hiring manager. I ultimately decided not to continue because I felt my trust had been broken. I would have been open to doing the work without pay if I had already interviewed with the hiring manager, but this request came too early, and I waited too long without any follow-up from the recruiter.
- Can you describe your time management strategies?
Talent Acquisition Partner
Right after I applied, they sent an email detailing the interview process. First, there was a 30-minute screening call with someone from the Talent Acquisition team. If that went well, the second step was a 30-minute Zoom interview with the same person who did the initial screen. Right after that, there was another 60-minute Zoom call with the Head of Talent and the Head of HR Business Partner. There was supposed to be a third round, another Zoom call with a stakeholder, but they actually skipped that part in my case. By the end of the second interview, I already knew they'd be making their final decisions the following week.
- Can you share an example of a difficult recruitment situation you've encountered and explain your actions and the final result?
- Tell me about a time you faced a specific challenge in recruitment, what you did, and what happened in the end.
- Walk me through an instance where you applied your skills to a recruitment problem, detailing your approach and the outcome.
