Content Copywriter
The interview process felt like a bait-and-switch, it was short and kind of evasive with a lowball salary. It's a shame companies treat qualified candidates like this. I took a shot at this role because it fit my skills, even though no salary was posted. Researching the company, I found many reviews about low pay, overwork, and high turnover. This wasn't a senior role as advertised, it was junior. The job description talked about strategic content leadership plus writing, but the interview made it clear it was 'writing only.' It was a senior-level JD to attract good candidates just to offer them a salary about 25% below market. Whoever takes this job will probably be overworked and underpaid. My questions confirmed that the issues in older reviews were still there, and worse. Even the interview invite was thrown together. I figured that was the start of problems, but I went to the interview anyway to see if the other red flags would be confirmed. They were. I decided not to continue after the interview.
- Can you discuss your B2B experience?
Office Coordinator
I had an in-person interview that was set up through email, and their response times were pretty average. The interview itself was about 30-45 minutes long and I spoke with the president. They mentioned I'd hear back about a second interview with the hiring team. After the interview, I sent a thank-you email. A week later, I still hadn't heard anything, so I sent another email expressing my continued interest. Still no response. Three weeks have passed, and I haven't heard back, but they have reposted the job application online. After taking time off work for an in-person interview, I at least expect a denial email. It takes minimal effort and is way less time than I took off work. It's quite unprofessional and seems to be a pattern with them based on other reviews.
- Could you describe your marketing experience?
Account Manager
I had a bad interview with Scott. The vibe felt off from the start, like a bad date. The job has below average benefits. Scott thinks the best work is done in-office, so you can only work from home 2 days a month or 4 half days. The office is far from central Phoenix, limiting their talent pool. Scott said they’re growing exponentially and that’s why they’re hiring, but they’re always hiring for the same roles, like the RAD Marketing agency. The negative reviews made sense after my interaction.
- What is the outlook of the role?
Account Director
I had a screening interview first, then an interview with the direct manager. After that, I interviewed with different teams, which gave me a good idea of who works at the agency. They were really transparent and gave me a chance to ask questions about the agency. They wanted to make sure I felt comfortable there.
- Could you describe the culture of your favorite past job?
