First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elephants Delicatessen.
Front of House
The interview process was straightforward and conducted virtually due to Covid. The interviewer was very kind and warm, which made me feel comfortable and calm throughout. I was asked about task prioritization and general questions about my strengths and weaknesses.
- How would you order tasks?
- What are three adjectives your coworkers would describe you as?
Catering
It was a casual group interview. Elephants is focused on building and keeping a "positive attitude" company culture, so I believe they were assessing how each candidate interacted with others during the interview.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded the typical expectations of customer service?
Catering Sales Representative
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. I first chatted with an HR Representative, then I met with both the Catering Manager and the VP. It was a total of three parts. They really value personality over experience, and the questions they asked were quite simple. I also got to meet the team members very briefly after my interview, which gave me a quick look at who they are.
- Can you describe your approach to managing a high volume of phone-based tasks?
Floor Support
The interview was relaxed and comfortable, with straightforward questions. It was a single, brief interview, and I received a callback in a few days.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
