First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elephant.
Customer Service Representative
Very detailed questions. They were very friendly and made you feel at ease during the interview process. There are three levels of interview in total. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you tell me about yourself, your background, and your experience?
Product Manager
I spoke with a creative director, the VP of product, and the office manager who seems to be the culture lead. They all asked me some typical questions about my work style, like how I collaborate with designers and how I handle challenges. The people were nice, and the office itself was pretty great.
- What's your process for working with designers?
- Can you describe how you handle setbacks?
Client Coordinator
A recruiter hit me up on Linkedin about the client coordinator role. After my last interview, the recruiter said she'd give me an update on my application status. But days went by and I heard nothing. I had to follow up multiple times over the next few weeks and still got no response. Even if a candidate doesn't get the job, recruiters should at least let them know where things stand, especially when they promise to and reached out to you first. It felt pretty unprofessional to me.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- How do you feel about working on this particular account?
- What drives you in this role?
Account Manager
The interview process involved meeting with department heads in two rounds of 1:1 interviews. While people were generally nice, there was a sense of uncertainty about the company's direction. The final stage was a presentation, which they said was more about my presentation style than the content itself. I received some odd feedback from someone I had concerns about, but was told I wouldn't be reporting to them. Unexpectedly, the offer received was lower than the seniority level I was interviewing for, leading me to end the process.
- How would you approach understanding a new client?
