First impressions matter — and Elemis absolutely nailed theirs. From my very first interaction with the People Team, I knew this was something special. Hollie was an absolute star — approachable, attentive, and effortlessly professional. She listened, reassured, and somehow made the entire process feel less like an interview and more like being welcomed into something bigger. From receiving the invitation to the assessment day to witnessing firsthand how much the team genuinely loves the brand — nothing felt rehearsed or forced. That authenticity spoke volumes and made me even more excited to be part of Elemis. When people truly enjoy where they work, it shows — in their energy, their warmth, and their pride. Hollie took me on the full Elemis journey, and from the first call to contract signing, every step was seamless, human, and refreshingly stress-free. It’s safe to say: if first contact sets the tone, Elemis is singing all the right notes.

I had an HR interview last week, and it went pretty well. I asked them to resend the JD because the job posting was gone and I didn't save it. When they asked me to meet with the hiring manager, it was for a different position, which I'm still interested in, so I accepted. They are very nice, but they need more HR.

I applied online and had a quick screening call with a recruiter, then a video interview with the hiring manager. They sent me a copy assignment that they said would take about 30 minutes, but it actually took longer. It was pretty typical for a copy position, due in two days. I heard back with an offer about a week later. The whole thing took about a month and was fully remote.

This role keeps getting advertised and filled then advertised again for a year, which implies the problem is with the hiring team, not the market. The interviewer was rude, seemed to be looking for flaws in my CV, spoke over me, rushed through questions, didn't listen and then asked things I'd already answered. They seemed distracted, possibly doing other tasks, and lacked emotional intelligence. Instead of listening and responding constructively, they acted callous and this role constantly requires external agencies.
