First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Elemental LED.
Director of Marketing
The interview process was quite rigorous. Given the importance of fitting both culturally and in terms of skills, interviews involved both management and peers. There were in-depth discussions about your external perceptions and significant insights into internal operations. It was a mix of individual and group interviews, aiming to understand you to determine if it's a good company fit and to meet your expectations. They seek long-term employees.
- Regarding the many accomplishments on your resume, could you detail which ones you personally led and which ones you were merely a participant in?
Individual Contributor
I met with the management team. We had a very pleasant, informal conversation in a comfortable environment. They shared their style and approach to the business and people. I liked hearing about their values the most. It makes it easier to work with others when you have this in common because you will more agree with each other more often than not. They also gave me confidence that they have the level of integrity that it takes to creating an long lasting, successful company.
- Can you tell me about your background and how it relates to the work here?
Sales Intern
I had a phone call with a VP of Sales to talk about my background and how it fit the job description. Then, I had an in-person interview with that VP and the VP of Marketing & Channels. It was a pretty standard interview, but they focused more on what I couldn't do than what I could. They seemed to want someone who could just get the job done and weren't too concerned about personality or company fit, as they didn't ask questions about that.
- Can you elaborate on your experience with XYZ skill, particularly in Excel?
Sales Operations
It was a really smooth process! Everyone I talked to was super friendly and genuinely interested in chatting. It felt more like a casual, welcoming conversation than a formal interview at times. We talked a lot about the office culture and the CEO's involvement because those are big factors for me in choosing a company. They were also very flexible with scheduling the interview day and time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
- Could you explain the distinction between a constant voltage driver and a magnetic driver?
