First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Element.
Research Software Engineer
You'll start by introducing your past experience. Then, there's an easy code test to see if you can really do programming. The interviewer is really open-minded, so it's a good chance to share some practical industry experience.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- How would you approach a simple coding test to demonstrate your programming skills?
- What are some practical industry experiences you can share?
Test Technician
I got a tour of the testing facilities and spoke with the lab manager. About a week later, HR contacted me to let me know the lab manager would be out for a week, so no decision would be made until their return.
- What makes you want to be a technician rather than an engineer?
Server
I saw a server position open up and I know a chef there, so I applied. He said I was good to go and I just needed to show I could handle the work and keep myself and the employees happy. The person I talked to was super friendly and really talked me through the day-to-day duties of a server at the restaurant.
- What's your experience level?
