Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Went through 5 rounds of interviews after the rejection. hr screening - manager interview - colleagues interview - case study - manager final interview. It seems that the hiring manager has the ultimate say on the hiring, and other interviews are just formalities. The manager was the only person with a quite aggressive style. The entire process was long, overall about 2 months.

I applied for multiple roles, feeling my extensive logistics and operations background made me a good fit. I even managed their services as a Logistics Director previously, so I knew their products and customer experience well. However, despite my qualifications, I was rejected twice before even getting an interview. Based on this, I'd tell other applicants to prepare for not hearing back, even with relevant experience. It seems they might look at things other than just experience, so manage your expectations.

Got ghosted by recruiters for 3 weeks. After 2 interviews, they said the job no longer exists due to a business change. It was a vague response. There was 1 phone call interview and a 2nd with the Manager that confirmed employment, but then no response after sending multiple emails.

Behavioral Technical

I went through a few rounds for a Business Analyst job. It was okay, some good parts, some not so good. First up was a 30-min phone chat, mostly about my background, like how I found out about the company and if I was good with hybrid work. It was pretty chill. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I had to follow up to get a response, which finally came a few days later saying I made it to the next step. Then I had a virtual interview with the Business Analyst manager, about 40 minutes. The main thing they asked was to introduce myself without just repeating my resume. I was also asked about my user story writing experience and to give examples of use cases and user stories. The manager was really nice and easy to talk to. They mentioned the salary was around $85k. I was told I'd get an update in two weeks, but again, no word until I followed up. About ten days after that, they let me know they hired someone else and I didn't get the job. I asked for feedback but never heard back. The interviewers were nice and explained the role and pay well, and the questions were on point. But, communication about what's next and when was bad, and they never replied to my follow-ups or feedback request. Overall, it felt respectful but lacked clarity and speed, especially at the end.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you introduce yourself, going beyond just what's on your resume?
  • Do you have experience with writing user stories, and can you give examples of both use cases and user stories?
