First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Electrosonic.
AV Service Technician
I applied for a service role and ended up talking with the service manager, then also with the client I'd be supporting. Honestly, the service manager interview was one of the best I've ever had. He seemed really knowledgeable, considerate, and just a nice guy, which I feel says a lot about the company culture.
- Could you describe your technical expertise with AV systems?
- Explain your understanding of networking principles.
- What is your experience with Dante?
Project Coordinator
I applied for the role after being recommended by Jessie Bailey, who spoke highly of the business. The interview process was engaging and informative, letting me ask questions to make sure the role was a good fit. First, Alexandra (People & Culture Advisor) called me. She was professional, personable, and friendly, making me feel comfortable and creating a great first impression. I was happy to proceed to the next interview stage. In the following two stages, I met virtually with Andy and Dianne. They were very knowledgeable about the business, the role, and realistic about future career progression. Overall, my interview experience was pleasant, and I'm excited about a long future at Electrosonic.
- How would my existing skills and experience apply to this position?
- What would be my approach if I encountered an unfamiliar problem during a new situation?
CAD/BIM Modeler
There were several interviews. First, a basic get-to-know-you chat where the applicant and company could ask questions to see if it was a good match. Second, an interview where the applicant had to show they knew and understood the software needed for the job.
- Did you know how to use the programs needed for the position?
- What do you typically do when you encounter questions?
Test Technician
It was a pretty straightforward interview. First, HR chatted with me for about 35 minutes, asking some standard questions. Then, an Engineer joined, which made me a bit nervous because I thought there might be some tricky questions, but he turned out to be super chill. Turns out I'd be working with him.
- Can you explain balanced audio on the board and why it's preferred over unbalanced?
- Describe your worst customer experience and how you resolved it.
- What would your previous manager say about your personality if I asked them?
