First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Electronic Systems.
Account Manager
The interview process involves four distinct stages. Initially, you'll meet with the branch management team, typically comprising two managers. Following this, there's an online personality test. The third stage is a 'ride day,' where you accompany an experienced account manager in the field. Lastly, there's a final meeting with the president (Anthony Lane), VP (Mark Phillips), Trainer (Danielle Pinto), HR (Barbra W.), and branch managers.
- What qualifications do you possess for this role?
Desktop Technician
The interview process started with a phone call and then an in-person meeting. It felt more like a check on personality rather than technical skills. The people were chill and friendly, which made me feel comfortable. You could tell they were busy people, with phones going off and people knocking. I ended up doing most of the talking because the questions they asked were really open-ended.
- Can you tell me about a specific technical discussion that arose from reviewing your resume?
- What was one thing that they asked you?
Engineering Intern
This interview was part of an engineering co-op program at my university. Several companies were on a panel and interviewed me. The companies participated in a "lottery draft" system for candidates. As part of the program, I had to accept whichever company selected me. It took a couple of weeks to find out who selected me. The offer was contingent upon passing a background check and drug test.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated creativity?
Sales Role
I had a phone interview with HR and then went to an interview at their Columbia office. The office situation was a bit confusing because they share space with another company, and not everyone seemed aware of it. The sales manager was nice but seemed to think the role was set up for failure, without offering much support. He invited me back for another interview even though I didn't follow up.
- Can you share details about your previous sales experience?
