Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Electrolux.
Business Analyst
The interview process started with a take-home assignment where I had to clean a dataset and present my findings in Excel. Then, I presented these results to a manager or director and also answered some behavioral/fit questions. The second round involved summarizing the results from the same dataset into a maximum of 5-6 slides, which I then presented to a senior director.
- Can you describe your experience and proficiency with Power BI, Qlik, Excel, and PowerPoint?
- What is your motivation for applying to Electrolux?
- What specifically about this role or Electrolux appeals to you?
Business Analyst
I applied on the company website and got a call from HR the very next day. The recruiter wanted to chat about setting up a time to discuss the role and my background. A few days later, the recruiter called me back at the scheduled time. From the start, the interview went badly. It seemed like the recruiter used my answers against me after I responded to each question. I've never had that happen before, and it really turned me off from the company. The recruiter also belittled me when I gave my salary expectations, saying I was asking for too much. My requested salary is actually the average for this role in my area, based on my research, and I thought it was reasonable given my experience. I suspect they already had someone in mind and I was just there to make it look like they interviewed multiple candidates.
- Can you share your reasons for wanting to leave your current job?
- What led to your departure from your previous role?
- What insights do you have about our company?
Business Analyst
There were 5 rounds total: HR, my manager, and the grand-parent manager. The whole process took about 2 weeks. Recruiting was a good experience. A case study was part of the process where I had to solve a case study related to the job I was applying for.
- Can you tell me about your expertise and experiences?
