First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Electric Power Engineers.
Power Systems Automation Engineer
The interview process involved an initial recruiter screening, followed by two 30-minute conversations, and culminating in a panel presentation where I was asked questions afterward. The process was pretty straightforward, though communication from the recruiter was a bit slow at times. The panel interview required me to present on projects relevant to the role.
- Can you describe your experience in relation to the requirements of this position?
Intern
Interviews were conducted online via Teams. The first interview was with the hiring manager. The second interview was with a current team member for the internship role. The third interview was with a previous intern.
- Describe a situation where you collaborated effectively within a team.
Power Systems Engineer
The interview went well. They asked me technical questions about power systems related to a project I did. Then, they asked some general questions about the role and the specific area I was interested in.
- Can you discuss your project experience in power systems?
- Do you have any questions about the position?
- Are you familiar with the area we are hiring for?
Transmission Engineer
The people I spoke with were nice, polite, and friendly. The interview itself felt easy and straightforward. The entire process wrapped up in about a week. Everything was good except for the offer itself. They were really low on the offer and wouldn't negotiate, and the only real benefit was health insurance (and even then, it didn't cover family). They had said in the initial interview that they would match other companies' salaries, but then they offered 40% less, which is why I declined.
- A 30-40 minute technical presentation was required.
